Director: Alex Callaghan

 

Alex Callaghan has a predominately mining background, with nine years’ experience at Hastings Deering in Mining Account Management and Contract/Project Management roles in Queensland, and five years’ experience consulting to the mining industry with Comino Management Services.

​

Alex has an in-depth knowledge of Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) product and solutions, mining equipment application engineering & a comprehensive understanding of the ‘cost per tonne’ equation enabling him to extract maximum value from HME. Complementing this knowledge is his ability to develop and maintain strong relationships built on understanding, trust, communication and results.

Complementing his recent experience in mining is broader experience with contract/project management, and business management in the manufacturing industry. Throughout his career Alex has led numerous teams and overseen multiple complex projects, contract negotiations, some M&A activity, and has always had a focus on continuous improvement and safety.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Queensland with majors in ‘strategic management’ and ‘management of organisations’ and enjoyed a well-balanced senior education at Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie).
